Hi, I'm Ben. I founded CloudBreak to bridge the gap between powerful open-source tools, privacy, and everyday people. It's been quite a ride!

I've been tinkering with code since I was a kid living in Iowa in the late '90s. I cut my teeth on BeOS and RedHat Linux back when they were competing with Windows 98 on the desktop, and I was carrying a Palm smartphone long before the first iPhone ever launched. I've always loved building things with computers.

In college, I paired Computer Science with Communication Disorders. This unique crossover eventually led me to a research role at the Yale School of Medicine. Working alongside brilliant minds at both the University of Iowa and Yale was an incredible experience, but it also made one thing clear: my true passion wasn't just researching problems, it was engineering the software to solve them.
